From acting and directing to writing and arranging not to mention stage design and puppetry, Bart Lovins has done a little bit of everything when it comes to theatre. He has been praised by regional critics for his varied performances, hailed by New York critics for his directing and writing and been recognized nationally for his work as an arts presenter.
Bart is currently the founding director of the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center (The PAC) which complements student learning and participation in performing arts and provides quality performing arts experiences for the community at large from around the world and around the corner.
Bart has a BFA in Performing Arts from Western Kentucky University with studies in Great Britain and Paris, interned at StageOne – Louisville’s Children’s Theatre – and studied with Tim Conway, Tom Poston, James Kirkwood and the National Shakespeare Company. His efforts have been recognized by numerous local, regional and national organizations and he is a member of Actors Equity Association, Arts Kentucky, the Kentucky Arts Presenters Network, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, serves on the board of the Kentucky Theatre Association and is a Kentucky Peer Advisory Network consultant.
