Mary Claire O’Neal is a nationally known consultant, author, certified coach, trainer and speaker. For over 15 years, Mary Claire has been working with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare and educational organizations, government agencies, and individuals in the areas of organizational management, leadership development, resilience and self-regulation, and communication. Her consulting and coaching clients include a New York Times bestselling author; state, national and international nonprofits; a Fortune 100 Best Company to Work For; independent professionals; individuals; and national associations.
For 20 years, Mary Claire also served as statewide program director for VSA Kentucky, the state organization on arts and disability. In that capacity, she developed, initiated and directed inclusionary arts programs in every Congressional District in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In 2011, she was awarded the VSA National Excellence Leadership Award at the Kennedy Center in Washington. She was also awarded two Dedication to Service Awards by VSA National.
Mary Claire has a bachelor’s degree “With Distinction” from Indiana University in educational psychology and English and attended graduate school at the University of Notre Dame in communication. Mary Claire is also a Heartmath® Certified Trainer and Coach, professional member of the International Coaching Federation and a certified life-change coach (CTACC). She is a Past President of the National Speakers Association/KY and served on their Board of Directors for six years.
Her past experience includes mental health educator for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, professional actor (Actor’s Equity, New York City), and business owner. Her book, Becoming What You Want to See in the World, has won a National Indie Excellence Award, ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Award, and a national Best Books Award (USA Book News). Foreign publication rights to her book in The Netherlands, India and several Spanish-speaking countries have been purchased, and the English edition is distributed in over 25 countries.
