As  a ceramic artist 1989-2008, I have been published and featured in Ceramics Monthly, Crafts Report, Arts Across Kentucky, and was an arts feature writer for City Beat Newspaper in Cincinnati and AEQAI.com, an award-winning online art critical magazine. I was selected for Art Exchange programs to Kharkiv, Ukraine (1992) and Nancy, France (2006). I served as adjunct professor at Northern Kentucky University. I have served on boards and advisory committees for Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen (as president), Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft, and the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea. I was designated Artist Emeritus by the Kentucky Arts Council in 2008.
After being forced to retire my pottery business, there was a major “pivot” to a professional transformation coach. For 13 years, I’ve helped professionals develop self-awareness and eliminate obstacles to advanced success.
Tapping into my more recent experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community (gender identity, specifically), I bring a clear and powerful perspective on bias in general and develop understanding in communities using proven assessments and sustainable processes. I facilitate support group meetings with Crossport Cincinnati for transgender folx and allies. I am a member of the Human Rights Campaign and the HRC Workplace Equality Committee in Cincinnati, the first in the United States, where we create high impact programs for Fortune 500 leaders. When I work with companies and organizations in Inclusion & Diversity, we collaborate to enhance a organizational culture where everyone feels safe, and everyone feels like they belong.
