Judy Sizemore is a freelance writer, consultant, community artist, and teaching artist. She is a consultant for Mountain Association specializing in nonprofit organizational development, strategic planning, fundraising, and grant writing. She serves as an arts education and cultural research consultant for Partners for Rural Impact, the Kentucky Archaeological Survey, and the Kentucky Folklife Program. She was instrumental in developing the Community Scholars Program and Junior Community Scholars Program of the Kentucky Folklife Program. She is certified as both a Community Scholar and Community Scholar/Junior Community Scholar Facilitator. She developed the Arts across the Curriculum Program and Learnshop Festival for the City of Berea and contributed lesson plans, student readings, and activities to numerous KET/PBS LearningMedia educational units, including the Visual, Dance, Drama, Music, and Media Arts Toolkits, Artsville, Kentucky Virtual Art Museum, Arts after School, Social Studies Arts Toolkit, Kentucky’s Black History and Culture, Social and Emotional Learning. The Lomax Collection, and Murals of the Holocaust.

Sizemore served as outreach director for the Kentucky Arts Council for four years and before that as a regional circuit rider for the Kentucky Arts Council in Eastern Kentucky. In that capacity she provided consulting services to arts organizations, schools, government entities and nonprofit organizations. Her areas of expertise include arts education, community arts, folk and traditional arts, and nonprofit organizational development and management, strategic planning, fundraising, and grant writing.  ​
