Jeremy Beck is an attorney with Ackerson & Yann, PLLC, where his practice includes entertainment and art law, intellectual property (copyright and trademark), contracts and general business law. His clients include musicians, visual artists, writers, graphic designers and those working in theater and the film industry. Previously a tenured associate professor of music at California State University-Fullerton and the University of Northern Iowa, in addition to his law degree from the University of Louisville, Beck holds degrees in classical music composition from the Yale School of Music, Duke University and the Mannes College of Music in New York. His music is frequently performed and has been presented by such organizations as New York City Opera, American Composers Orchestra, the Louisville Orchestra, and IonSound Project in Pittsburgh. A winner of numerous awards and honors for his music, including a 2009 Al Smith Individual Artist Fellowship, Beck’s orchestral, chamber and vocal music is commercially available on the Innova label of the American Composers Forum.
